Dr. Sadoon Sadoon, Chief Medical Officer at UEMedical and Obstetrics, Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Surgery Consultant at Danat Al Emarat, has more than 25 years of experience, working in many reputable hospitals and medical centers in UK, UAE and Iraq. In his role as the CMO, he leads service lines integration across all UEMedical hospitals and clinics; as well as optimizing clinical outcomes. Before joining UEMedical and Danat Al Emarat in 2018, he was the division chief of gynecology, chair of obstetrics & gynecology, lead for minimal invasive surgery in Al Corniche Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He was also an obstetrics & gynecology consultant at Medway Maritime Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and an honorary senior lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent. Dr. Sadoon is qualified and experienced in advanced Minimal Invasive Surgery from United Kingdom. In 2019, he was awarded the prestigious accreditation by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) as Surgeon of Excellence in gynecological minimally invasive surgery. He specializes in advanced laparoscopic gynecological surgeries, management of endometriosis cases, uterine fibroids and polycystic ovaries. Dr. Sadoon has special interest in healthcare management, clinical research and medical education leading numerous studies in Danat Al Emarat and various CME conferences in the region.
Dr. Sadoon earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Al Mustansiryah University, Baghdad, 1992. He also earned a diploma in Obstetrics & Gynecology from Baghdad University, 1998. He has a Certificate of the Arab Board for Higher Specializations in Obstetrics & Gynecology (CABOG), 1998, MRCOG IN 2003, CCT in 2006 and FRCOG in 2017. His other qualifications include Diploma in Minimal Invasive Surgery, 2014; Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery SSM. RCOG (London), 2005; Certification in Hysteroscopic Surgery SSM. RCOG (London), 2005.
